Joe Barrett, MBA, AAC
Chief Executive Officer
Joe is a seasoned executive leader with diverse industry experience and a proven track record of entrepreneurship, creativity, and complex problem-solving to deliver growth, innovation, and results in fast-paced environments. He joined Key Recovery as Chief Executive Officer in April 2022. Previously, he served in executive roles at a variety of companies, from large corporations to startups, in a wide range of sectors including consumer packaged goods, commercial printing, strategy consulting, retail, and Internet technologies. Joe has many years of serving on a variety of non-profit boards and committees. He received his BA from Wesleyan University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Lisa Strub, MBA, LICSW, SUDP
Executive Director of Treatment and Chief Clinical Officer
Lisa brings 20+ years of clinical behavioral health experience and deep operational, strategic, and executive leadership. She joined Key Recovery in June 2023 as our Executive Director of Treatment and Chief Clinical Officer. Lisa has served in senior clinical, operational, and executive roles in a wide variety of behavioral healthcare environments. She is highly skilled at evaluating clinical operations and designing service delivery systems to improve outcomes, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. She has also taught classes on clinical interviewing, assessments, and interventions as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. She received her BA in Sociology from Marquette University, her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, and her Executive MBA from the University of Colorado-Denver.
Marie C. MacCoy, MSW, LICSW, SUDP
Interim Chief Program Officer
Marie has 20+ years of clinical and administrative management experience in behavioral health across a wide array of levels of care, including residential, outpatient, medical, and street outreach. She joined Key Recovery in April 2022 as our Interim Chief Program Officer, responsible for strategic planning, design, and enhancements of current and future programming and staff practices. Prior to joining our team, she served as Director of Community Services and Clinical Manager for Evergreen Recovery Centers. Previously, she held a number of clinical and management positions at Nua Counseling, Friends of Youth, CRC Health Group, and Ryther. She received her BA from Gonzaga University, her Master’s degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University, and earned an Executive Business Certificate from the University of Notre Dame. Marie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a Substance Use Disorder Professional, and a Child Mental Health Specialist.
Cynthia Parker
Human Resources Manager
Cindy brings 20+ years of human resources management experience and deep knowledge in all functional areas of human resources. She has worked in a wide range of industries including health care, non-profit, public sector, manufacturing, and food service. She has a strong passion for building great places to work, and supporting non-profit organizations that make a difference in our communities. She joined Key Recovery in September 2022, and manages all aspects of our human resources. Previously, she served in senior human resources roles at Forterra, the Woodland Park Zoo, FareStart, and Pioneer Human Services. She received her BA in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University.
Sandy Keenan, MBA
Controller
Sandy is a highly talented financial professional who provides exceptional financial management and strategic financial advice to help guide our operations. She has worked in a variety of industry sectors, including medical technology, financial services, and non-profit organizations. She joined Key Recovery in May 2023, and serves as our Controller, managing all aspects of our financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting, accounting, contract management, and payroll. Prior to joining our team, Sandy served as Director of Finance and Operations/Controller for OneAccord Companies, Controller for a division of Philips Respironics, and Vice President/Director of Finance for Pro-Tech Services. She received her BS in Accounting from California State University, Fresno, and her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
